it feels like i've not updated my blog for a long long time. since something significant happened, i shall be hardworking and blog a little. (:
apparently, i lost my ez-link on sunday after meeting my pw group at shuyi's place. the weird thing was the i took a bus home WITH MY EZ-LINK, but couldn't find it that night. i thought i might have dropped it on the bus or on the way home cos i didn't tap out. that was my initial thought. so, the next day, i took a bus to the interchange and asked if they received any lost ez-link or what. that horrible staff told me they didn't and even lectured us students for being so irresponsible for not tapping out. thanks ah. i merely asked her ONE question and she just rambled on and on. in hope that i can find my lost ez-link, i didn't call up the hotline to ask them to terminate my lost card.
can't rmb whether it was which day, i took a bus to amk interchange after school one day. that was the closest interchange to my place that i can replace my ez-link. when i reached there, i had a feeling that i have yet to check my house thoroughly, could have been at home or something. so i took a train home with my mum's spare adult ez-link and it costs a bomb. okay, $1.20, maybe not a bomb. but it's like approximately 3 times the normal student fare! for 3 stops only okay... that's damn ex. went home to search, but COULDN'T FIND. damn. so, i had to make another trip down to amk interchange.
the 2nd time i went there was a friday, my classmates happen to want to eat at amk subway for lunch. ticket office was open, reached my turn and realised that I COULDN'T MAKE cos i didn't bring my IC. my mum doesn't allow me to bring in fear that i will lose it, 100 bucks to make one new one okay! damn. couldn't make AGAIN, 2nd wasted trip.
yesterday, i went to amk interchange again. brought my ic, passport size photo, money, everything that they needed. when i reached there, THE TICKET OFFICE WAS CLOSED. i forgot it was vesak day, a public holiday. it felt like any ordinary saturday to me, plus i don't celebrate vesak day. told my mum about it and she said i was dumb. hahaha.
i was damn sian to the max already. 3 wasted trips just to make a damn ez-link. suay thing was the i just topped up 15 bucks. paid 15 bus trips with coins (i counted all the paper thingys). this meant that the amount of money i would waste would be: $15(0.55-0.44)+$15+$19=$35.65 JUST TO REPLACE MY LOST EZ-LINK THAT WAS GIVEN FREE.
$0.55=bus fare for students using cash
$0.44=bus fare for students using ez-link
$15=amount that i topped up on the day that i lost my card
$19=amount that i have to pay for the new card
BUT...
I FOUND IT TODAY! my ez-link was never lost. i brought it home that day, placed in on a table and somehow, it dropped into a box that was below the table. the box contained the presents for mothers' day for my church. while kaiwen was sorting out the presents in church today, she found it and returned it to me. Thank God! (: even though i made 3 wasted trips, plus a whole week of pek chek-ness, it was all worthwhile. i am sure God has His plans of everything. God really did answer my prayers, i prayed every single day just to find my ez-link. yay! Esther is a happy girl. just hope that this horrible experience of mine will encourage all of you out there to trust in Him for He has His plans for everything.
